Samantha Ince

Sam’s interest in law and human resources is reflected in her studies and career experience.  After studying Psychology and Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought at Amherst College, Sam went to Hastings Law School and studied Employment Law under the tutelage of Professor Joseph Grodin, an Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court.  Following an internship at the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, Sam joined the preeminent Labor & Employment law firm, Littler.

While practicing employment litigation defense at Littler, Sam gained invaluable knowledge and experience working closely with accomplished litigators to prevent and defend against claims of workplace misconduct.  During this time, Sam developed and refined her skills and enthusiasm for workplace training and investigations, working closely with business leaders, HR and Legal personnel from small businesses and Silicon Valley powerhouse clients alike.

In 2005, Sam joined the corporate legal department of leading semiconductor manufacturer Renesas Electronics, and continued to provide critical legal advice and facilitate workforce trainings.  Sam advised her employer client on all matters of employment law, and began implementing preventative measures to avoid costly litigation and improve the employee experience.  Sam partnered closely with HR in these efforts, and ended up in an executive HR leadership role reporting directly to the CEO, managing a team of HR professionals, and transforming the HR function at her organization.

In 2015, Sam joined VMWare to lead the development of a robust Employee Relations team dedicated to workplace investigations, performance management, training, and company reorganizations. In 2017, Sam joined Facebook as a dedicated workplace investigator and trainer of Facebook’s 25k+ global workforce.
